Sanritsu Kanpan‏

I posted about Bourbon's kanpan yesterday, Sanritsu sells the market leading product in this category and it is branded with just the katakana of Kanpan カンパン plus a Scottish guy in kilts and a bagpipe on the package. This is easily the most recognizable and therefore reassuring brand in the long shelf life disaster preparation food category. It also has a shelf-life of 5 years. Sanritsu has lots of disaster preparation information on its website.

Morinaga Kraft Staub Giveaway‏

Morinaga is using Moe Yamaguchi (山口もえ), a popular Japanese "talent", to promote Kraft cheese. To promote Kraft Mozzarella cheese, which is made in Hokkaido, they are giving away kitchen goods made by Staub and said to be favorites of Moe. Entry is by collecting bar codes and mailing them in attached to a postcard.
