Bourbon Kanpan Biscuits‏

Bourbon is a confectionary maker based in Niigata. They are jumping into the disaster preparation market with a stylish version of long shelf life biscuits. In this nation all too familiar with natural disasters, homes, companies and schools typically have cans of long shelf life biscuits and bottles of water on hand. These biscuits are called kanpan 乾パン or "dried bread", but they come in plain packaging. Bourbon's new offering has a colorful package, cute bear characters (same bears used for a regular cookie brand) and a variety of cracker shapes and flavors. These biscuits have a 5 year shelf life.

As part of a promotional campaign, Bourbon is giving away stuffed character dolls to 500 people a month who mail in proof of purchase marks from eligible Bourbon products.

Morinaga Bellmark Goods‏

Many Morinaga youth targeted confectionary products come with Bellmark coupons. As explained on an August 1st post, when collected Bellmark coupons or proof of purchase marks provide funds for Japanese schools. They only represent 1 yen each, but can add up to significant money.

Meiji Kinoko no Yama iPhone App‏

Meiji has an app for their popular mushroom shaped, chocolate covered cookies "Kinoko no Yama" (きのこの山). I have not played it, but from the directions, it looks like you need to find, collect the chocolate covered mushrooms and then lift them over your head from some reason before gradually making your way up the levels. I suppose if you are going to kill some time playing a game, you might as well search for chocolate covered mushrooms.
